Lion’s Gate Portal and other thangs

A day late and probably a dollar short, but I wanted to write about the Lion’s Gate Portal.

I have seen lots of opinions about it both negative and positive and while trying to decipher my own thoughts I realized that what other people think really doesn’t matter. So you may read this and be like that woman is NUTS (and I might even agree with you for other reasons.)

I am not the witch that does something on every moon, every holiday, or even every day. Life gets in the way a lot and I only do stuff when I feel a strong calling. This week, the call for me to do a ritual happened to be on Lion Gate Portal Day. Not to toot my own horn, (maybe a little it IS Leo Season) I have great success in manifesting things. Those things are not always for ME but I have had a lot of success manifesting for others. So I thought why not?

I spent most of the day cleaning my space. I actually just had the urge too before I even decided I was going to do a ritual and then once I was done I was like OH I can do a ritual now.

I took my large card holder. (I really should use it more) and set it out. Found the Leo card from my Astrological Tarot, then pulled cards for my career (left) and my relationships (right). These are two areas of my life that I feel are consistently at odds. My Gemini 10th house is something that I want to fistfight at all times. It puts me in positions of leadership (so does my 12th Leo Sun) that I don’t always appreciate.

I do have a need to do everything myself. I can blame my placements, but I can also blame the parentification that I experienced at a young age. I didn’t have many trusted adults in my life. I needed to do things on my own if I wanted to anything to get done. I was the embodiment of “if you want it done right. you have to do it yourself.”

Seeing that 10 of Wands RX, was a huge sigh of relief. I can depend on others. I can delegate. I can let go. This will still be taken care of and I don’t need to be the one to do it all. The 3 of Wands pairs well with it as I am looking into the future. What does that hold for me? What is aboard that I may not have noticed before? What is my plan to get there?

The Fool and The Magician - apparently I need major help when it comes to relationships. 😂😂😂

I know I need to trust myself more and take risks. Risks on other people are huge for me and I guess it does tie in with that 10 of Wands as well. I have been lifting up so many others that I don’t trust that I have the same support. (It’s fine. I am in therapy.)

Leaning into those risks will open me up to the Magician aspects.

Time for a little ritual action.

Ritual:

My Fire Sun demands fire all the time. I do a lot of my manifesting rituals with fire. 🔥

Needs:

Candle
Tongs
Matches / Lighter
Heat Safe Bowl
Bay Leaves
Marker

Clear your space in a way that makes you feel comfortable. This can be my meditating, burning incense, or putting on anointing oil. You can do whatever you like.

Write your intentions on your bay leaves with a marker. Use as many bay leaves as you will like. I usually one bay leaf per intention. I use a marker because it is easier to write on them. Sometimes I use a pen if I forget myself, but a marker is best.
If you work with deities, ancestors, and/or spirit guides this is where you can reach out to them and ask that they help you move this along as long as it is aligned with your highest good. If you don’t work with any, you can infuse the energy around you with your intentions.

⚠️⚠️ Fire Warning ⚠️⚠️
Please take all precautions necessary while using live flames.

Light your candle.

Using your tongs grab a bay leaf and put it on the flame of your candle.

⚠️Please be careful. Make sure that nothing flammable is nearby, do not do this wearing loose clothes. The flames will get bigger than you anticipate. ⚠️

Remove the bay leaf from the fire and put it into the fire-safe bowl.

Repeat until you have burned and released all the energy into the universe.

Again, Fire Sun here, so I really like to watch the flames it creates. I envision my intentions coming true.

What to do with the ashes?

If you have the means you can bury them.

If you are in the city like me you can flush them. Envisioning all the obstacles that will stop you from getting your manifestations just flushing away.

OR

You can do the secret option and use the ashes in another ritual later on. If I do a moon ritual I usually use them for black salt or in a spell bottle I make later on.
